FUN*DMENTAL 03
biography

Three of the UK's brightest talents are about to launch their young energetic sound and vision onto our radio waves and TV channels. Fun*dmental '03 are what British pop R&B has needed - a group who easily rival their US counterparts. Live and direct, make no mistake Fun*dmental '03 are a real homebred talent ready to let loose. Produced by Deany Boy (previously from the Ignorance camp) of UK production outfit Burbree the guys self penned debut single 'Jump' is a pumping R&B cut with vigorous instrumentation.

Jermaine (19), Baby-V (18) and Kyle (20) have all been studying their art from an early age. They first meet whilst hanging out at Huskies dance studies in Elephant & Castle where they have danced beside the likes of Ashanti, Destiny's Child, Blue and Mis-teeq to name a few. With a brotherly bond built upon a foundation of friendship and their mutual love for great music Fundmental was born.

Huge fans of the energy and vision of artists such as Prince, James Brown, Usher, Gene Kelly, Sammy Davis Junior and Fred Astaire they like to deliver a unique and full on show. Having been together for two years they have been working hard to perfect their art spending many hours studying video's and films of these greats as well as months of in-house vocal rehearsals, song writing sessions and experimental dance.

Back on the road their incredible live performances both on the dance floor and lyrically earned them a support for US superstars ATL. They blew the audiences away, stealing the show as well as impressing daWorks Records MD Jazz Black who was watching.
A meeting was taken and the boys were soon signed.

Just 18 Verran was raised on gospel music his dad being a member of the famous Wades. It is not a surprise then that he plays the drums, piano, saxophone as well as the base guitar and is the groups foremost musician and in-house producer. Front man 19-year-old Jermaine studied his art at the Brits school where he was able to spend time mastering both his dancing and singing abilities constantly striving for an equal balance between both just like his main iconic influence Usher. Arguably the most athletic of the three with his on-stage acrobatics and alluring charm, Kyle (20) moved to Jamaica at the tender age of 3 where he stayed until he was 14. After returning to the UK he studied dance and taught himself to play the piano.

With a repertoire filled with infectious hooks, sultry R&B vocals and pioneering choreography Fundmental'03 are on their way towards a great future both in the UK and across the Atlantic.... After all it's just the beginning.
